Occurrence Selector
FileMaker Pro has no built-in functionality to easily find and select an occurrence in its relationship graph, but it does react to your typing. Unfortunately, most of us are not able to type fast enough to make this a useful method to select an occurrence, especially when working with an FRG with a lot of occurrences.
Occurrence Selector is a menu bar item that uses GUI scripting to do the typing for you.
When in the FRG, the “Select Occurrence” menu item will become active, and when you select it, it offers a small input field, where you type ( or paste ) the occurrence you want to select. Press enter or click the button, and the first occurrence that matches your text will be selected. Subsequent “enters” will select the next occurrence. Close the text input window when you no longer need it.
Occurrence Selector is freeware, created by Peter Wagemans, who also developed Clip Manager.
